SAKI, or Sexual Assault Kit Initiative, is a nationwide initiative to address the issue of unsubmitted sexual assault kits (SAKs). Iowa was awarded federal grant funds to test many of these kits. It is unclear at this time how many unsubmitted SAKs will be tested. We understand this might be difficult. Our advocates are available if you just need to talk. They can also answer any questions about SAKI, including the testing and notification process.
If you have any questions or want to inquire about your sexual assault kit, please call us to speak with an advocate. You can call us any time at 1.800.770.1650 or text iowahelp to 20121.
