Supporting People Through Any Crime

We understand the profound impact that any form of violent crime can have on individuals and communities.

When we use the term “crime,” we are referring to any act that causes harm, injury, or trauma to an individual, including but not limited to assault, robbery, sexual violence, domestic violence, human trafficking, elder abuse, teen dating violence, homicide, and so much more. It’s important to note that individuals can reach out to us regardless of whether they have reported the crime to law enforcement. We provide a safe and confidential space for individuals to talk about their experiences, process their emotions, and explore coping strategies. Our trained advocates are here to support survivors in navigating their healing journey, whether they choose to report the crime or not.

Why You Should Reach Out to Talk

We encourage individuals to reach out to us to talk about their experiences because we believe that talking it through can be immensely healing and beneficial. Sharing one’s story in a supportive and non-judgmental environment can help alleviate feelings of isolation, shame, and guilt. It can also provide individuals with a sense of validation and empowerment as they reclaim their narrative and take steps toward healing. Individuals need to know that everything they share with us is completely confidential. We adhere to strict confidentiality protocols, and we will not disclose any information unless we believe their life is in imminent danger. Our priority is to create a safe and trusting space where survivors can feel heard, supported, and respected as they embark on their healing journey.

Who We Can Help

Our advocates help people throughout the court process by attending trials and communicating with law enforcement. We’re also able to help people through some emotionally difficult aspects of experiencing homicide, like listening to 911 calls and reviewing body cam footage from the responding officers. We help victims of violent crimes navigate trials, apply for crime victim compensation, regain emotional stability, and much more.
